Dixie Biker Blow Out
Wow, and wow again! Thank you so much to
the couple of thousand of y'all that came by and
helped us have such a great time. Your support is
over-whelming and truly appreciated! We had a
blast, and reckon y'all did, too. Biketoberfest was
kickin' off with lots happenin' about thirty miles east
in Daytona Beach, yet y'all rode out to check us out
and support us. That means a lot, 'specially when it
was such a gorgeous day to be ridin'. But then
again, maybe that's why you rode over - it's what
we're all about. The ridin' and the people. We're
lucky enuff to have both and y'all added another little chapter in our Life's BIG Book of Memories.
There's lotsa pictures so give it time to load, please.
This was the first real event that Boots, below, on mic, has been out to since she suffered her heart attack right after Bike Week. After being away from the partyin' for six months, she was wonderin' if she still had it - the stamina, and the gumption to make sure y'all had a good time. You let her know she's still got it! Thanks to the hundreds of y'all that had a kind word to say and a hug for her. It means more than words can convey.
We invited a friend of ours, The Ice Cream Man from Hell, to join us for the day and Boots below, asked y'all to give him a very warm Dixie Biker Welcome, which you did, below right. After-all, he's one of 'em ol' Yankees from Jersey who's now become a "Damned Yankee." You know the difference between a Yankee and a damned Yankee, right? No? Oh, okay.
A Yankee is someone who comes to
Florida to visit, spend some money and then
goes back home after vacation. A damned Yan-
kee is someone who comes to Florida to visit,
spend some money and DOESN'T go home .
Trader Jack's did a great job takin' care of y'all. Thanks Mike, Becky and Pete! The food was awesome, and priced right: a half a bbq'ed chicken dinner with two sides for $6; a burger plate withe two sides for $4, a hot dog plate for $3 and a twelve ounce NY Strip with sides
for just $8. Man -
you could buy one
lil ol' measley sau-
sage on Main St. in
Daytona for that
price.
Longnecks were
just $2 and they
even had some-
thing new we'd never seen before - a cute thing I called a Midget Long Neck they sold 5-4-$5. It was a 7 ounce Bud Light long neck bottle with five of 'em in a bucket of ice. Too cute. They were good, though, cuz you got to drink 'em before they got warm. I liked 'em and hope they stick with 'em.
Y'all kept ridin' in all day long - and into the night, too.

Keep goin'! The Wet T and Pole Dancin' pix are comin'.
Right - Still fixin' the place up. Though delayed by the hurricanes back in September, Trader Jack's is still gettin' everything done to make this the premier biker place in West Volusia County.

Charlie and Linda Wallace, owners of Wallace Insurance Agency, and friends from the Daytona H-D Drill Team rode over a couple of times.
Dirty Harry and Buffy spent all day handling bike parking. Thanks!

Tom, Lynn and Hank rode up from Seminole County.
Dago and Jenny from Satsuma.
As temps chilled when the sun set, some rode out while others came ridin' in (below).

Wet T Contest and Pole Dancin' for Anyone
Just in time for Biketoberfest, Trader Jack's got the outdoor brass pole set up. Though it took a couple of tries, and lotsa beer, we finally got people to use it. Mostly chicks, thank goodness.
Wet T Contest winner Sandra, from Davenport, FL - that's south of Lakeland.
Pops, from Orlando pours it on Tamara from St. Cloud.
"Awright. You poured it, now you get a
little peek at your handiwork."
"Okay - everyone gets a peek."
Boots auctioned off the water for the contest to raise money for the contestents.
Jo Jo - proud fifty-one year-old grandmom from DeLand struts her stuff.
Christine gets wet. Yee haww.
"Hey! Are you tryin' to tear it off?"
Well, there you have it. A great way to kick-off Biketoberfest 2004. A great biker bar, thirty miles out in the country. You did come here to ride, didn't you? Thirty miles of country by-ways on the ride out; great prices on food and drink; great people like you; and secure bikes only parking. Man-oh-man. It don' git no mo' bettah 'an 'at, y'all. Thanks! See ya for Bike Week!
