Russ and Kathy also filled us in on some current stuff about Cody. He's reenlisted in the Army, while serving in Iraq, And, after just two years in the Army, it looks like he'll get a promotion to Sergeant shortly. Congratulations. Cody should be headed home for a brief visit in a month or so and then in November or early December he's scheduled to redeploy to Afghanistan for a tourn in another terrorist hell hole. Jeez, talk about back-to-back. Thank goodness we have these young warrior and heros defending our freedom. God Bless you, Cody, and those in your Squad, Platoon, Company and Task Force. Y'all're awesome.
By the way - don't believe the shit you see on CNN or read in the so-called "main-stream" media. The real-deal, mainstream Americans support you 100%, thank you for defending our freedom and keep you in our thoughts and prayers every day. God Bless America and her Armed Forces.

The Word from Our Troops.
God Bless all the men and women in our Armed Forces and their families.
We have lotsa letters and pictures from our troops, or from readers with relatives or friends serving in our Armed Forces, in several other articles on dixiebiker.com. But in September 2006, we hadda better idea. How 'bout if we put all the stuff we get about our troops in one place. Well, here ya go. If you have pictures or notes you'd like to post, just e-mail them to us at jamie@dixiebiker.com.
We'd like to put a self-posting form here so you can immediately post thoughts or pictures but, unfortunately, we'd be inundated with spam posts harkin' the benefits of Viagra or we'd get hate-filled words from leftwing nutcases that hate President Bush or Cheney or Rumsfield and want to take it out on those brave young men and women defending our freedom. So, if you wanna submit something, just click the e-mail button, write your thoughts, attach pictures and send. We'll get 'em posted as quickly as we get 'em.

SP4 Cody St. John, 101st Airborne Division
We met Cody's folks, Russ and Kathy (right), at our Support the Troops event at Trader Jack's Roadside on August 12, 2006. I just kinda took their picture while wanderin' around and when I asked 'em their name and where they lived, I found out they had a son serving in Iraq. "Well tell him we say "Thanks" for defending our freedom." I said. "And if you e-mail me a couple of pictures I'll be happy to run 'em in the magazine."
"We can do that," said Russ. "That'd be pretty neat."
"Get me his APO address and I'll get him a subscription to Dixie Biker Illustrated, no charge, too. Just something we do for our service members - free subscriptions for anyone serving outside the continental US."
Here's the note and pictures we got from Russ and Kathy

Monk,
It was a pleasure meeting you last Saturday at Trader Jacks. We had a great time and it was nice to
see the support given to our Troops. I have attached a couple of pics of our son, Cody, who is currently
stationed in Bagdad with the 101st Airborne. Thanks and keep up the GREAT WORK.
Russ and Kathleen, Titusville
We ran into Russ and Cathy at a Support Our
Troops benefit at American Legion Post 1 in Titus-
ville on September 9 and I got to talk with 'em quite
a bit.
I asked if Cody had received his magazines and
Russ said, "I dunno, bro. We haven't heard from
Cody in a few days. It's drivin' me nuts. Ususally I
chat with him via the Internet two or three times a
week, but they went on a convoy security detail,
got attacked and they've kinda hadda hole up for a while. That was a rough few days for me and mom!"
"I did tell him about the magazines coming and he was very excited about it," continnued Russ. "He even sent me a picture of him giving the "Dixie Biker Hello."
"Cool," I said. "E-mail it to me and I'll get it in the magazine. Shoot, maybe it's time for me to start a seperate page for pictures and ntoes from our Troops."
And now you know how this page came into being.

Hey Monk.
I saw the article in this month's issue and I sent you a note and pic but guess I must have pressed the wrong button. Here goes again. . .
Dear Dixie Biker Staff and Readers:
How cool to see my pics in your mag. I want to thank you for sending me the issues. It seemed that by the time I got them, that the pages had been turned a few times. Seems like a lot of guys over here enjoyed it
even before it got to me!
I would like to send a big thank you to all the Americans that show us the support! And to those that don't support us? Well
that's why we are over here, so as to allow them the freedom to protest us.
From all of us over here, God bless the U.S.A.!!!
SPC Cody St. John AKA COOTER
Cooter with a double-barreled Dixie Biker Hello. God Bless You and all the Troops. You're in our thoughts and prayers.
Hey Monk and crew -
I received this picture from my nephew, Chris G, with the subject line: "Check out my HOG!" He said, "We
captured this little baby from a Taliban that has no more use for it."
I have small grandchildren who call him Superman because of his broad shoulders, plus he flies through the air since he parachuted while in 82nd Airborne Infantry.
I am very proud of him and all the armed forces giving me the
freedom to ride!! Chris is now home attending college in Orlando
and he came home with a Bronze Star, with Valor Device, and a
Purple Heart. He was with 117th Airborne that jumped into Iraq to
take the airport, but these pics are of his Afgan assignment
looking for Bin Laden. This picture is of soon to be Joint Chief of
Staff Four Star General Price, and on his right is his Battalion
Commander, Lt. Col Stammer, presenting Chris with his honors.
He rides a 2005 Classic Sportster, and I ride a 2005 Triumph
America (my 22nd bike). He came home on leave one time to
visit his parents in Deltona and since his Harley had been ship-
ped to Italy prior to his Iraq assignment he didn't have anything to
ride while here. I told him come and get the Triumph for some
cruising. I've been riding over 40 years, and know what it feels
like not to have your 'ride' under you.
Chris is concentrating on the books, and we don't get to ride
together much, but I and the entire family are thankful he has served his country and is now out and home for good.
Triumph Tom, Deltona
